Studio Wolowitsch is a graphic design practice based in Berlin. Its work focuses on shaping culture—navigating historical, political, and social dimensions that go beyond the visual.
It recognizes that culture is not confined to the cultural sector, but shapes and informs everything around us. As an active participant in both cultural and commercial contexts, the studio seeks to challenge perspectives, provoke dialogue, and drive change. To meet the ever-evolving demands of design and its production, the studio focuses on dynamic collaborations, working alongside colleagues from its interdisciplinary network of artists, designers, architects, photographers, motion designers, developers and many more.
Pawel Wolowitsch studied Communication Design at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle and at HFBK Hamburg in the Graphic Design department. Since 2016, he has worked in various capacities for institutions and companies. From 2017 to 2022, he collaborated closely with Matthias Görlich on projects in civic engagement, urban development and architecture. From 2022 to 2024, he was a partner at Distaff Studio, where he worked on projects with institutions such as the Freundeskreis Yad Vashem, the Brücke Museum, and the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum. Beyond his design work, he has shared his experience through teaching.
